![]() At first I couldn't figure out how I was going to replicate this behavior on Ken Stone's programmer module without some ridiculous switch. ![]() Kevin Fortune made some modifications to his programmer module that back-wires the gate sequencer to the programmer, but the back-wiring and also the directions for each 4-stage block are independent of one another. I'm in the planning stages of building a DIY clone of an old Serge modular, and was interested in replicating some of the modifications that were done to Doug Lynner's Serge. I suppose the fact that they are ultimately logic processors limits their application, but with some creativity they can be really powerful tools.įor example, I just finished a project that I was stuck on for a while. I'm coming from an electrical engineering background where these and other microprocessors are everywhere, so I was sort of surprised not to see them mentioned in the synth diy community. I ask because I don't see these get mentioned very often around here.
